Police say prosecutor crashed her Porsche

A Spotsylvania County prosecutor faces a driving while intoxicated charge after police say she caused a three-vehicle crash.

The Culpeper Star Exponent reports that Spotsylvania County Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Amy Marie Harper crashed her Porsche SUV into another vehicle around 10:55 p.m. Friday, forcing that vehicle into the back of another car. No injuries were reported.

The 38-year-old Fredericksburg resident also was charged with refusing to take a blood or breath test and following too closely.

Commonwealth's Attorney William F. Neely suspended Harper pending the charges.

Harper also worked as a prosecutor in Fauquier County from August 2005 to February 2008

It was Harper's first drunken driving charge.
