A mysterious creature is spooking a Prince William County neighborhood, just in time for Halloween.

According to InsideNoVa.com, a homeowner in Woodbridge reported seeing some sort of animal in the woods near Colchester Road and Randall Drive and the Prince William Plaza Shopping Center late Monday night.  That's right off Route One.

From Inside NoVa:

"Officers were called late Monday to the area of Colchester Road and Randall Drive in Woodbridge after a neighbor reported seeing something suspicious.

"A coyote, or a werewolf," said Prince William County police spokesman Jonathan Perok.

The resident said they spotted the creature in the woods at 10:05 p.m."

Authorities came out and check out the area and saw no signs of a possible coyote.

But mythical creatures are nothing new for the area - in August, staff at Prince George's Hospital Center briefly caged a vaguely canine looking animal they called a "chupacabra."
