Prince George's County Councilwoman charged with speeding, unsafe lane change

The Councilwoman at the center of a speeding controversy in Prince George's County has paid part of her fine.

Karen Toles was pulled over after going more than 100 mph on the beltway last month.

She was originally given a $90 fine for an unsafe lane change, but residents called for a stiffer penalty, and she ultimately ended up with a $500 ticket.

Records from the court show Toles has paid her $90 fine for the unsafe lane change, but she hasn't antied up for speeding yet.
