If your guest list includes Sonya “The Black Widow” Thomas, that answer may be one.

Thomas devoured the competition – literally – in this week’s Wild Turkey 81 Eating World Championship in New York City.  The 105-pound Alexandria woman downed almost an entire 10-pound turkey. And she did it in just 10 minutes.

That’s more than five pounds of meat, when you discount bones and grizzle. Not too shabby – especially when you realize her competition included Eric “Badlands” Booker, who weighs nearly four times more than Thomas.

Her prize for taking down a turkey: $1,581 in cash, which can buy a lot of Pepto Bismol. Thomas says the money will help pay for the feast she’s preparing for Thanksgiving. Perhaps $500 will cover the cost of her meal!

The victory should come as no surprise to anyone who follows Thomas or her culinary conquests. She holds 24 world records for eating.
