Metro trains bypassed the Pentagon City station Thursday night after a small fire, officials say.
Smoke was reported on the lower level of the station, a representative for the Arlington County fire department said about 7:50 p.m. Trash caught fire on the tracks.
The station had reopened by 8:20 p.m.
Trains were delayed on the Blue and Yellow lines, with single-tracking. Regular train service later resumed with residual delays.
