The two occupants of a small plane that had an emergency landing Monday evening are both expected to be okay.

According to Maryland State Police, the plane had an emergency landing at approximately 7:30 p.m. in a field at Wheatley's Content Farm Lane in Leonardtown, Md. State Police dispatched a helicopter to locate the operator, who, along with a passenger, was found at a nearby farmhouse. The two had walked there after getting out of the plane, police said.

Both suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
