Slick Roads Cause 3 Overnight Crashes at Wilson Bridge

Icy road conditions continue to be a problem on area roads, particularly as snow and ice melt during the day and refreeze at night.

Roads on and near the Wilson Bridge were extremely slick earlier Sunday morning.

Virginia State Police reported at least three separate accidents on the bridge because of icy conditions. The crashes happened just minutes apart before 2 a.m. in the same general area.

The right lane of the Outer Loop was closed for some time. There were also closures on I-295 in Prince George's County, Md., while crews treated icy roads.
