A Frederick, Md., teenager is recovering after being struck in the head by a bullet while he was sleeping early Friday morning.
Frederick Police were called to a report of shots being fired around 3 a.m. in the 400 block of Heather Ridge Drive. Several shots had struck a home on the street.
One of the rounds fired struck a wooden fence, went through the outside and inside walls of the home, struck a headboard and then hit the teenager in the head. She suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Frederick Police are still investigating who fired the rounds.
