Police Release Sketch of Fireworks Stabbing Suspect



    Fairfax County police have released a composite sketch of the man who stabbed a woman as she watched fireworks in Falls Church, Va., Friday night.

    Police said a 65-year-old woman was sitting in a shopping center parking lot on Leesburg Pike with friends while watching fireworks. Witnesses said a man approached the woman from behind and stabbed her in the upper body.

    The suspect fled on foot. He is described as a white man, possible 18 to 20 years old, with short blonde hair. He was wearing a white tank top and shorts.

    The victim was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
