Sketch of Suspect in Waldorf Homicide Released

The Charles County Sheriff's Office released a sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of a man and woman who were walking their dog along a foot path in the Hampshire neighborhood in Waldorf, Md.

The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, possibly in his early twenties, about 6’0” in height, slim build, and may have short, curly hair.

The woman died in the shooting, and the man was hospitalized.

The reward for information in the case has increased to $20,000.

“This is a tough case, but we have solved tough cases before,” Sheriff Rex Coffey said. “We will pursue every lead, every tip and every bit of information to identify the person responsible. We want to solve this case as much as our community wants it solved.”
