The Charles County Sheriff's Office released a sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of a man and woman who were walking their dog along a foot path in the Hampshire neighborhood in Waldorf, Md.

The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, possibly in his early twenties, about 6’0” in height, slim build, and may have short, curly hair.

The woman died in the shooting, and the man was hospitalized.

The reward for information in the case has increased to $20,000.

“This is a tough case, but we have solved tough cases before,” Sheriff Rex Coffey said. “We will pursue every lead, every tip and every bit of information to identify the person responsible. We want to solve this case as much as our community wants it solved.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at (301) 932-2222. Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS or Text CHARLES + your tip to CRIMES or visit www.ccso.us to submit a web tip
