Skeletal remains found in Virginia last month have been identified as belonging to a D.C. woman missing since 2006.

DNA linked the remains to Katherine Bryant, said Stafford County Police.

Bryant was 33 when she disappeared. She was last seen in the D.C. area. Foul play is suspected in her death, police said.

The remains were found Aug. 16 near a ramp for Exit 140 off Interstate 95.
