An actor and comedian was spotted at the scene of a double shooting in northwest D.C. Tuesday evening.

T.J. Miller, of the HBO sitcom “Silicon Valley,” was seen with a red stain on his pants talking to police officers.

Some who recognized him mistook him for the actor who played Napoleon Dynamite -- Jon Heder -- said News4 Washington's Jackie Bensen, who reported on the shooting.

Neither Miller nor his agent returned calls to find out what he was doing at the scene of the shooting in which a 6-year-old girl and a 25-year-old man were injured.

An episode of the podcast Cashing in With T.J. Miller posted to Nerdist.com Tuesday was recorded in Virginia just outside D.C.
