Man Shot in Front of His Children in Fairfax County

A man was shot by a relative in front of his children in Centreville, Virginia, Monday afternoon.

Neighbors told Northern Virginia Bureau Chief Julie Carey two brothers were involved. One is in custody and the other in the hospital with serious injuries.

"He said, 'My brother shot me,'" neighbor Leo Marsilva said.

The victim was shot three times in a ground level town house in the 14000 block of Cool Oak Lane. He ran outside and collapsed on the street.

The victim's two children witnessed at least some of the shooting, police said. They ran out after their father.

He is expected to survive.

The gunman, identified by police as 28-year-old William Addison, has been charged with malicious wounding.
