Police are investigating an overnight shooting that reportedly led to a car accident in Prince George's County.
Police went to the scene of a single-vehicle accident in the northbound lanes of Branch Avenue in Temple Hills, Md., at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday and found a person suffering from a gunshot wound.
Apparently someone from another vehicle fired shots at the victim's vehicle while they were in motion, authorities said. The victim then crashed at the southbound I-95 exit ramp.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. A passenger in the victim’s car suffered minor injuries due to the car crash and was released at the scene by paramedics.
Police said they are looking for a possible second vehicle involved in the shooting.
