The U.S. Postal Service expects to process nearly 15 billion pieces of mail between Thanksgiving and New Years Eve. Here's when to ship if you want to make sure your aunts, cousins and friends all receive their gifts on time for Christmas.
Its already too late for standard mail shipping with the Postal Service. But you can do first-class mail by December 20th so that it gets there in time for Christmas. If you're shipping through Fedex, get your package to Fedex by December 17th.
With UPS, ground shipping can take 1 to 5 business days. Ship out as soon as possible if you want to get packages to loved ones before Christmas. Now remember, all of these services will pick up as late as the 23rd for Christmas deliveries, but that shipping price goes up.
