A Southeast D.C. elementary school played host to some very special guests Friday afternoon.
Former NBA star Shaquille O'Neal joined first lady Michelle Obama at Orr Elementary School, located at 2200 Minnesota Ave. SE, to encourage students to engage in more physical activity.
Shaq also announced a $1,000 physical activity grant that will be given to up to 500 schools.
The event was part of Obama's "Let's Move!" campaign.
The "Let's Move! Active Schools" program aims to get physical activity back into schools before, during and after the school day, according to a release from the White House.
The White House praised Orr Elementary School for implementing new, healthier school lunch standards, holding physical education classes, and participating in a Reebok program for exercise and nutrition.
