Shampoo Bottles Concealing Cocaine Found at Dulles

It's safe to say ammonium lauryl sulfate was not the active ingredient in three shampoo bottles seized at Dulles International Airport.

The tingling sensation delivered by these bottles came from two pounds of cocaine, and authorities have arrested a Guatemalan man they say was acting as a drug courier.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says the bottles were seized June 28 during a routine screening. A CBP officer looked at the bottles and saw what seemed to be a double wall. He cut open the bottles and found a white powder that tested positive for cocaine.

Authorities say the cocaine had a street value of about $60,000.

Thirty-nine-year-old Eric Eduardo Estacuy Juarez was charged with importing cocaine at federal court in Alexandria and is in jail pending trial.
