Sex Offender Accused of Luring 13-Year-Old Via Facebook

Suspect convicted twice in past year

A sex offender was accused of luring a 13-year-old girl into his home via Facebook.

On Sept. 21, Yusab Joshi convinced the girl to go to the apartment where he lives with his parents, according to the affidavit. There, he convinced her to take off her clothes and allegedly photographed her. He also allegedly used his cell phone to record her performing a sexual act.

Afterward, the girl went straight to Fairfax County police.

Joshi fled to Prince William County but was arrested a few days later, according to court documents.

In April, Joshi was arrested and convicted of sexual battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Last December, he was convicted of physically assaulting a building property manager, who told News4 she broke up a sexual encounter between Joshi and another 13-year-old girl in an office complex bathroom in November.

Joshi is charged with carnal knowledge of a minor. He could face charges for failing to provide his email address to state police as is required of registered sex offenders.

Joshi's father told News4 that his son is innocent of these accusations as well as the previous charges against him.

Joshi is being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court next week.
