Several Flee Theater After Man Pretends to Have Gun

Suspect charged with disorderly conduct

A man is facing charges after allegedly pretending to have a gun in an Annapolis movie theater.

Several witnesses said a man entered a theater at Bow Tie Cinemas at the Annapolis Harbour Center while “Madagascar 3” was playing, sat down in the front row and shouted curses at the screen and the people in the theater, police said.

After leaving the theater and returning twice, the man acted like he had a gun, pointed at people and continued cursing, causing many people to flee the theater, police said.

The man ran from the theater, but within minutes police picked up a man matching his description.

Kyle Tanner, 25, was charged with disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment and second-degree assault.
