Seven Sent to Hospital Following Metrobus Accident

Seven people were taken to the hospital after an accident involving a Metrobus and a car. Four other people were evaluated by first responders but were not taken to the hospital.

D.C. fire department spokesman Pete Piringer said the accident happened shortly before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and that seven people were being taken to a hospital, though none of their injuries appeared to be serious.

The accident happened in the 4000 block of East Capitol Street.

DC Fire & EMS tweeted that inbound East Capitol was blocked, with traffic being diverted onto 40th Street N.E.
