One man was killed in a violent crash that left a McLean, Va., roadway littered with debris early Friday morning.
Fairfax County Police say the vehicle struck a tree in the area of Old Dominion Drive and Peacock Station Road in McLean around 3 a.m. The impact of the crash splintered the tree.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene; other passengers inside the car were also injured. The extent of their injuries is not known at this time.
Old Dominion Drive between Towlston Road and Peacock Station Road will be closed for several hours in both directions as police conduct their investigation.
