A 93-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after her vehicle ran into a tree and overturned in Bethesda, authorities said.
According to a preliminary investigation, the woman was making a left turn from Whittier Court onto Whittier Boulevard about 9 a.m. Monday, when her car left the roadway and hit a tree in front of 8015 Whittier Blvd.
The car then rolled onto its side.
The crash remains under investigation.
The woman lives on the block where the crash occurred, Montgomery County Police said.
