Runners and walkers are participating in Sunday's Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run and 5K Run-Walk — and that means road closures.
Multiple roads are closed around the Tidal Basin, and the Arlington Memorial Bridge is also shut down Sunday morning. You can see a map of the closures here, or check the list below:
From 1 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday:
- 15th Street between Independence Avenue SW and Constitution Avenue NW
From 6:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Sunday:
- Arlington Memorial Bridge
- Raoul Wallenberg Place SW (15th Street) between Maine and Independence avenues SW
- Independence Avenue SW between 14th and 23rd streets
- Rock Creek Parkway between 23rd Street and Virginia Avenue (Note: Virginia Avenue will remain open to the Watergate)
- Ohio Drive in East and West Potomac parks
- Maine Avenue SW between East Basin Drive and Independence Avenue SW
- 23rd Street from Constitution Avenue NW to Independence Avenue SW
- East Basin Drive
Several other roads were closed earlier but have since reopened.
