Teen Brothers Charged in Fatal Double Stabbing Outside Fredericksburg Restaurant

A second teen is in custody for his involvement in the fatal stabbing of two men outside a Fredericksburg, Virginia, restaurant Sunday morning.

The 17-year-old has been charged with assault by mob, a misdemeanor, police said. The suspect's 15-year-old brother was arrested earlier this week and charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

The teens and the victims were at the Cook Out restaurant with separate groups that got into a fight early Sunday morning.

During the fight, three men were stabbed in the chest, back and torso.

Anthony Carter, 29, of Albany, Georgia, and Mac Hughes, 30, of Portsmouth died at Mary Washington Hospital following the fight. Hughes was a sailor assigned to the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Gerald Ford, his father told News4's Pat Collins.

The third victim, a 30-year-old Stafford man, is expected to survive.

Police have not released the names of the suspects. The groups did not know each other before the incident.
