Search for Gainesville Hate Crime Culprits

Police in Gainesville, Va., want the public's help tracking down culprits in a hate crime.

A 32-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman were standing outside Polo Cleaners on Linton Hall Road earlier this month when a driver rolled up and yelled racial slurs.

Prince William County officers said between four and five men were inside the SUV. One of them flashed a handgun, but no shots were fired.

The driver is a white male believed to be between 17 and 25 years old with short blonde hair. His vehicle is described as a 1990s model red Jeep Grand Cherokee with a gray lower half and a large paint chip on the hood.

Anyone with information about the case should call Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700 or 1-866-411-TIPS. You don’t have to give your name, just information.

A reward up to $1,000 cash is available.
