Rescue crews are once again searching for a Virginia man who vanished after slipping off a tube he was using to float down the Delaware River.

Police in Bucks County identified the victim Sunday as 30-year-old Anthony Del Prete of Herndon, Va.

Officials in Tinicum Township say he was tubing with a group of other people Saturday when he went into the water.

The Bucks County Courier Times says firefighters and rescue personnel from both sides of the river launched rescue boats and put divers in the water.

A New Jersey state helicopter also helped in the effort, which was suspended Saturday night but resumed Sunday morning.

Scott Fleischer, chief of the Point Pleasant Fire Co., said the swift current and low visibility in the rain-swollen river have hampered the search.
