Salahis Miss Court Date in Virginia

Alleged state dinner crashers accused of failing to provide wine tour

If you want infamous fame mongers Tareq and Michaele Salahi to show up at something, maybe an invitation is the wrong way to go about it.

The alleged White House state dinner crashers and “Real Housewives of Warren County D.C.” cast members missed a court hearing in Loudoun County, Va., Monday, the Loudoun Times reported.

Emily McCallum accused the Salahis of failing to provide a wine tour at Oasis Winery in Hume – owned by Tareq Salahi’s family - and not refunding her money.

Neither the Salahis nor their lawyer appeared in court Monday morning. Judge Frank Buttery said he didn’t know if they knew of their court date because the court didn’t receive a return of service, the Loudoun Times reported. The case was continued to Aug. 3.

It’s far from the first time someone’s gone to court to get money out of the Salahis. Winchester Electric Service Inc. went to court in Frederick County to get Tareq Salahi to pay a $1,000 bill for repairing a generator. A New York winery sued him for $50,000, saying he owed for bottling equipment. The couple was accused of bouncing a $24,000 check for booze in Montgomery County, Md. And they were judged to owe a landscaper $2,000, for which Tareq surrendered a watch that turned out to be fake. The couple also has been accused of questionable fund-raising for charity.
