Man Dies After SE Shooting Sunday

A Southeast D.C. man was killed in a shooting Sunday evening.

Metropolitan police said 20 year-old Jeffrey Ray Tyson was shot several times, including in the chest, at about 9 p.m. in the 5300 block of E Street in the Southeast. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported Tyson to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of someone wanted for homicide.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department by text messaging 50411.
