The Washington area will receive a royal visit next month from Prince Harry.

The Atlantic Council announced that it will present Prince Harry with its distinguished humanitarian leadership award.

The award is for his work helping wounded warriors.

Prince Harry will accept the award on the behalf of his brother Prince William for their joint work through their foundation.

The event is set to take place on May 7.

There is no immediate word on what else Prince Harry may do in D.C. while he's in town.  We'll update when we know more.
