Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck in Rockville Intersection

    A pedestrian has died after being struck by a car in Rockville, Maryland.

    Roberto Flores, 21 of Hyattsville, was hit by a Toyota Tacoma on Sunday night while crossing First Street at the intersection of Maple Avenue.

    Rescue crews responded around 11:40 p.m. Sunday.

    The driver remained on the scene.

    Flores was taken to Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, where he died Monday morning with family members present, authorities said.
