Robbery Victim Knocked to Ground, Kicked Outside DC McDonald's

Police are asking the public to help them identify three persons of interest in the assault and robbery of a military veteran at a Northwest Washington McDonald's.

In surveillance footage released by police Thursday, a male can be seen following the victim out of the E Street NW restaurant. Once they're outside, the suspect punches the victim from behind, knocking him to the ground.

The victim is a former Marine, according to The Washington Post.

Other members of the group kick and take the victim's belongings before running away.

In the video, several bystanders walk by or ignore the victim as he kneels on the sidewalk. The victim was eventually able to walk back into the McDonald's.

Anyone who can help police is asked to call (202) 727-9099. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
