Prince William County police are searching for a man who hid inside a Target store in Woodbridge prior to stealing from the store in the middle of the night.
Authorities discovered the burglary around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday after an alarm was triggered from the rear emergency door of the store. After reviewing surveillance footage, police said the thief hid in the store prior to closing and then used various tools to break into locked cabinets and steal multiple iPads and other property.
The estimated value of the stolen items is roughly $10,000.
Authorities say the thief is a white male between 16 and 24 years old, 5'10", 130 lbs. with a thin build and short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and black sneakers.
