The westbound lanes of East-West Highway are closed while crews work to repair a broken water main.
A police officer reported the broken water main at about 4 a.m. Thursday. Water gurgled from the 10 inch main for a few hours, causing the road around it to buckle.
All west bound lanes are closed between 43rd Avenue and Adelphi Road.
Seven customers are without water at this time.
There's no word on how long repairs will take to complete.
