A 24-year-old man will remain behind bars with a $500,000 cash bond for allegedly assaulting and kidnapping a Montgomery County Circuit Court judge last month.

Judge Audrey Creighton, 53, called police May 19 when she alleged her live-in boyfriend, Rickley Senning, beat and kidnapped her. The two had been living together on and off since last year.

Police in Florida say they've arrested the man accused of kidnapping and assaulting a Montgomery County judge. 24-year-old Rickley Senning was arrested in Miami last night. (Published Wednesday, May 28, 2014)

According to new charging documents, Creighton came back to her Germantown home that night to Senning standing over a pool of his own blood, holding a bottle of alcohol.

She said Senning was in a "jealous rage" and called her a liar. Creighton said Senning grabbed her by the hair and forced her to drive him to Gaithersburg, threatening her life.

Creighton was able to escape and call for help at a Germantown Harris Teeter. Senning then took off with the car, but later crashed it. He was sent to a local hospital, and was discharged before police could make an arrest. Last month, Senning was arrested in Miami and extradited to Montgomery County.

Creighton represented Senning when she had worked as a public defender in the past. Senning, who has an extensive criminal past, did not enter a plea during a court appearance Monday.

He's facing charges of kidnapping, assault and car theft related to the May 19 incident.

Creighton has been on leave and has not replied to multiple requests for comment.
