Ret. Marine on Run Across U.S. Passes Through D.C.

A retired Marine doing a run across America will pass through D.C. Thursday.

Sergeant Brendan O'Toole began "The Run for Veterans" back in November in Oceanside, California to raise money for returning veterans.

Averaging about 15-miles a day, Toole will run almost 4,000 miles and cross 21 states.

So far, he's raised over $200,000 for three veteran organization -- Give an Hour, Team Red White and Blue, and The USO.

Thursday, he'll run from Arlington National Cemetery to the east steps of the U.S. Capitol. The run will then head north to the finish line in Portland, Maine.
