The Washington Redskins didn’t take much time off before heading back to the gridiron, holding the first of their off-season workouts Monday morning.
Among the players guaranteed to be there, London Fletcher. The veteran linebacker, defensive captain and outspoken leader is back for another two years with the burgundy and gold. He tweeted out the news over the weekend saying, “Redskins fans your captain is back!”
Cornerback DeAngelo Hall also seems to be excited to get a new season started. He got on Twitter around 2 a.m. to let fans know he’s ready to play:
@DHall23 Can’t wait for workouts to start tomorrow. I’m pumped up the first step in winning the division starts at 8:30am. Step 2 draft night lol.
Of course he can only be referring to one thing, the prospect of drafting standout quarterback Robert Griffin III with the second pick in the upcoming draft.
