Prostitution Bust at Hotel in Silver Spring

Hotel management tipped police

A Virginia man and former airport security manager is facing prostitution charges after a bust at a Montgomery County, Md., hotel.

Management tipped police after observing suspicious behavior at one of the rooms at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Silver Spring hotel on Feb. 15, News4’s Pat Collins reported. A man was seen repeatedly escorting groups of men and women in and out of one room after waiting in the lobby, police said. Management recognized the man who rented the room as a frequent guest who'd engaged in similar behavior druing prior stays at the hotel. Management called police.

The guest, 39-year-old Bryant Livingston, of Manassas, told police no illegal activity was going on in the room and claimed to run airport security at Dulles International Airport, Collins reported. Livingston allowed police to enter the room, where they found 11 people, including three naked women and four men putting on their clothing. Several were in the two beds while others were sitting or standing in the room, according to police.

Officers interviewed the 11 people in the room, and one said he paid Livingston $100 for sex.

Sources said Livingston used Craigslist to set up the encounters.

On March 16, police served Livingston with an arrest warrant charging him with five counts of prostitution.

TSA confirmed the suspect was a transportation security manager at Dulles, hired in 2002. He no longer works for TSA.

Homeland Security said it received a similar complaint about Livingston and prostitution in 2009, but it is unclear if anything was done about that complaint.
