Prince George's County Police “Run the Beat”

The two-mile run is the first of six area-focused runs in the county

You’ll be able to find Prince George’s County Police “Running the Beat” on Monday as part of their Transforming Neighborhoods Initiative.

The Transforming Neighborhoods Initiative is a massive effort to transform the toughest and most crime-ridden neighborhoods in Prince George’s County.

Officers will participate in a two-mile “Running the Beat” run at Langley Park. The event is supposed to engage the community and show police as a visible presence in these neighborhoods.

This is the first of six focus area runs. The other focus areas are East Riverdale/Bladensburg, Suitland/Coral Hills, Kentland/Palmer Park, Hillcrest Heights/Marlow Heights and Glassmanor.

Community members are strongly encouraged to attend and participate.
