A Prince George's County police officer who has been with the department for 8 weeks was charged with second-degree assault.
According to a news release from the department, Shakeya Walker was charged in connection with an Aug. 18 domestic-related incident.
Walker worked as a probationary officer in District 6.
She has been suspended pending the investigation, and could be terminated.
