Prince George's Man Shot in Apparent Domestic Dispute

Prince George's police say the murder of a 22-year old man in Hillcrest Heights appears to have been the result of a domestic argument.

Jerome Zephier Peters, of the 1100 block of Stratwood Avenue in Oxon Hill, was at a family member's home caring for his infant child when the child's mother and a male acquaintance arrived to pick up the child. An argument ensued, and during the argument Peters was shot.

Peters was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are working to identify and find the shooter.
