Prince George's County Police collected 102 guns Saturday at the department's first buyback event of 2013.

Held at Eglise Baptiste du Calvaire in Adelphi, officers gave away gift cards worth up to $125 in exchange for the voluntary surrender of firearms by Prince George's County citizens. According to the department's official Twitter account, some of the weapons surrendered included AR-15 and Bushmaster semi-automatic rifles.

In 2012, the department collected approximately 450 weapons at various buyback events.
