A fire in Potomac, Md., early Sunday took the life of one man and left another hospitalized.

The victim, 74-year-old Sung Y. Kwack, was a professor at Howard University. He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Another male victim, who was also in his 70s, remained in the hospital in stable condition on Sunday.
