2 Buildings Collapse During Strong Storms in VA

Seven people were injured, all injuries are non-life threatening

Strong storms are to blame for major damage in Spotsylvania County, Virginia on Sunday night. Two buildings collapsed on Fleming Street, one was a partial collapse.

NBC4 has learned that some young girls having cheerleading practice were inside one of those buildings. Five of the children were injured, two were taken to the hospital.

The roof of one of those buildings blew onto a nearby home, as seen in the picture below.

Fire and Rescue Captain Mark Kuechler confirms to NBC4 that seven people in total were injured during the storms. All injuries are non-life threatening, according to Kuechler.
