An undercover Prince George's County narcotics officer shot and killed a man after being approached by three people during an attempted carjacking in Temple Hills Monday night, police said.
The officer was on duty at about 9 p.m. along Naylor Road when the incident occurred. Police said during the attempted carjacking, the officer shot and killed one of the suspects.
Police said they have two people in custody. They're still looking for another person.
This was the eighth fatal shooting involving a Prince George's County police officer this year.
