D.C. police say they briefly followed a driver who may have been armed near the Supreme Court Tuesday evening.
Officials say they issued a lookout for a driver with a gun. That car was later spotted at the intersection of 2nd and D streets NE, and when officers attempted to pull him over, the driver fled.
Police followed him for several blocks and pulled him over at 1st Street and Maryland Avenue NE near the Supreme Court, where he was charged with DUI, reckless driving and eluding police.
No weapon was found.
