Police Seeking Herndon Bank Thief

    Police are looking for a man who jumped over a counter at a Wells Fargo bank branch in Herndon Friday and stole money from the teller.

    The theft happened at about 2:30 p.m. at the Wells Fargo at 1099 Elden St. The man covered his face with a tan scarf or bandana; it is not known if he was armed. He took an undetermined amount of money.

    The suspect is described as black or hispanic, in his mid- to late 20s with curly black hair and a thin build. He was about 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He wore a black and white checkered jacket with dark-colored sleeves.
