The search stems from a shooting that happened shortly before 8 p.m. Friday night in the 4200 block of 2nd Road North.

Police say a Hispanic man was shot once in the abdomen and once in the upper right leg. He is currently in critical condition at an area hospital. After the shooting, investigators say the suspect fled the scene in the direction of Arlington Boulevard.

One resident who requested to remain anonymous told News4 that the area is usually quiet, but new problems are popping up because of new residents.

Police aren’t sure if the suspect and victim know each other.

The shooter is described as a black man, standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall. Police say the man was dressed all in black and wearing a ski mask.
