Police in Maryland are searching for a 71-year-old man who wandered away from members of his group home while on a trip to Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, Maryland.
Burns Brabham's group home came from Pennsylvania to visit the park Tuesday.
Brabham is known to walk long distances and loves the park, Maryland Natural Resources Police spokeswoman Candy Thomson said. He visited Sandy Point last year and had been talking about returning ever since.
When it was time to leave the park at 3 p.m., Brabham became upset and wandered away from the group, Thomson said. Search teams worked through the night looking for Brabham, but no one has seen or heard from him.
"It's a hot day, and it was a cool night down by the water," Thomson said. "We're very concerned about this man."
Police say Brabham suffers from mental illness, is legally blind and is not familiar with the area.
Brabham is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue and white plaid shirt, blue jeans, dark shoes and a white baseball hat.

He does not have a cellphone or any money with him.
Thomson said officers have searched every inch of the 800 acre park. Officers will search area marinas Wednesday to see whether Brabham may have ducked into a boat. In addition to search teams on the ground, a helicopter is also flying over the area looking for signs of Brabham.
