Prince George's County police say they are searching for one of two suspects accused of kidnapping a man in Riverdale late Tuesday night.

Police say two men approached the victim in front of his home in the 5200 block of 59th Avenue about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities say they forced the man into his vehicle and drove him to an ATM on Kenilworth Avenue, where they forced him to withdraw money.

Authorities say they later spotted and followed the victim's vehicle, which struck a parked car. Police say the suspects fled on foot in opposite directions, and that one of them fired a weapon at an officer. The officer was not hit.

Police say one suspect was apprehended a short distance away from the crash site. The suspect's handgun was recovered by police.

The abducted victim is said to be safe, and did not suffer any serious injury.
