Prince William County Police say a Woodbridge, Va. teen tried to kill his father in his sleep Saturday night.
The 17-year-old male allegedly shot his 49-year-old father in the back of the head while he was sleeping, over what appears to be past disagreements, according to police. The father survived the shooting and was taken to the hospital to be treated.
The shooting occurred in the 15700 block of Beau Ridge Drive in Woodbridge.
The teenager has been charged with attempted murder, malicious wounding and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
